Carr's Lookout, Scenic Rim, Queensland, Australia.

Carrs Lookout has breathtaking views over the Head Valley (Condamine River) to Mt Superbus, Mount Wilson, and in the far distance Mount Maroon, Mount Barney and the Scenic Rim. Information at the lookout identifies the mountains and tells the story of a plane crash in 1955 on Mt Superbus. This area is the headwaters of the Condamine River and is part of the Murray- Darling system, the longest river in Australia. The famous Spring Creek Mountain Cafe which is on the escarpment next to the lookout has closed unfortunately, which boasted magnificent views of the Condamine River & Gorge. The Falls Drive (or Spring Creek Road) is one of South East Queensland's most popular drives between Killarney and Boonah and includes some outstanding scenery. The road runs along the border of Queensland & New South Wales and abounds in National Parks and sub tropical rainforest. The Cambanoora Gorge runs between the source of the Condamine River and the town of Killarney. It is also known as the Condamine Gorge and the 14 River Crossings. The gorge begins at the historical area of The Head which is bordered by Wilsons Peak to the east and Mount Superbus to the north. Commencing at this broad grassland, the gorge narrows as the river encounters harder trachyte rock. This has created a dramatic landscape. Teviot Falls is located near Teviot Gap on the edge of the Scenic Rim, close to the border of Queensland and New South Wales. The falls are from the Teviot Brook at Teviot Gap, near the head of the Condamine River.
